TERMS & CONDITIONS Please take the time to read through the Terms & Conditions thoroughly.
By payment of your deposit, you are agreeing to the following terms & conditions and entering into a contract.
The Client is engaging the services of Kirsty McCall.
Kirsty McCall and the Client ( aka “the Bride”) accept the booking, subject to these Terms & Conditions, and the contents of the invoices, which constitute the entire agreement between us (“the Agreement”).
DEPOSITS 1a. 2023 A non-refundable, non-transferable £100 deposit is required to secure one wedding date in Kirsty’s diary.
1b. The deposit is due within 24 hours of the payment invoice being received by the client.If the deposit has not been paid within 24 hours the wedding date may be released.
1c. The deposit is non-refundable, it will be forfeited on cancellation by the client.
1d. Your booking isn’t secure until Kirsty has received your deposit in full and has been notified that the deposit has been sent and you have read and understood these terms & conditions.
CONTACT 2a. Due to the private nature of your booking, the contract and all communication is solely between the bride and Kirsty McCall regardless of who is making the payments or any third parties (Groom, Parents & wedding planner, etc) acting on your behalf.
2b. The bride is responsible for all payments.
2c. It is the responsibility of the client to understand, agree, and be held responsible for all booking conditions including active communication, payment, notification of cancellation and understanding of the consequences of not adhering to these terms and conditions.
COMMUNICATION 3a. Communication can initially be via Email, Whatsapp, website contact form, or Instagram DM.Kirsty will then set up a Whatsapp thread where all communication will be transferred.The bride can send photos and messages on the thread but please understand that unless it is a very urgent situation Kirsty will only respond during normal weekday working hours (9-5).Kirsty would prefer that most communication is via Whatsapp rather than phone, if a phone call is taken then the key points will be written and messaged on Whatsapp for both our records.
PAYMENTS 4a. Acceptable forms of payment are bank transfer via payment link that will be sent to the bride. Kirsty does not accept cash or cheques.
4b. The final invoice with details of services, travel costs and balances due will be emailed/messaged to the bride, along with the suggested timing schedule for the wedding date.The client will receive this within 24 hours of the trial.The client will then have 7 days to pay the final non-refundable balance.Failure to transfer payment within this time will result in the wedding date being released.
4c. No BACs or PayPal payments will be accepted on the wedding/event day. If you are receiving payments from third parties who wish to contribute, this should be managed amongst yourselves before the wedding day.
4d. If any payments in the balance schedule are missed then services will be withdrawn and no refund of any monies paid will be given.Failure to make any payment will be seen as a cancellation by the client.
4h. BALANCE SCHEDULE & PAYMENT TERMS - *The “Bride Only” package is £500 plus travel *All clients require a trial. *Kirsty will only do the Brides hair and make up, no other bridal party members can be booked.Kirsty can provide a list of recommended stylists to cater for your bridal party. *This is a total package, “just hair” or “just make up” cannot be booked.
Deposit £100 - Your non-refundable/non-transferable deposit is required to secure your wedding date in Kirsty’s diary and as confirmation of your agreement to the booking terms and conditions.To be paid within 24 hours of the invoice that will be sent to the client via WhatsApp.
Trial £200 plus travel costs - Once the trial date has been agreed the client will receive an invoice via Whatsapp that needs to be paid within 48 hours.The travel costs will be 60p per mile one way from CT16 to the trial address.Any parking charges or congestion/ulez charges will be payable by the client. If the client needs to reschedule the trial date within 48 hours of the trial time and date a £30 fee will need to be paid to confirm a new date.
Wedding £200 plus travel costs - After the trial, the client will receive communication regarding timings for the wedding day and photos taken at the trial. The client will have 7 days from the trial date to confirm whether they would like to continue with their booking.If the client decides not to continue then no further payments will be needed, all payments already received will not be refunded. If the client would like to confirm their wedding day booking an invoice via Whatsapp will be sent that needs to be paid within 24 hours.The wedding day payment is non-refundable/non-transferable. The travel costs will be 60p per mile one way from CT16 to the wedding address.Any parking charges or congestion/ulez charges will be payable by the client.
4i. As proof of payment and for Kirsty’s records please send screenshots of any payments made via whatsapp.
TRAVEL 5a. The travel costs will be 60p per mile one way from CT16 to the trial/wedding address. Any parking charges or congestion/ulez charges will be payable by the client.
5b. If a location is more than 2 hours away or if Kirsty will need to leave home before 5.30am an overnight stay may be required, at which the costs are chargeable to the client. Arrangements must be made in advance.
LOCATION, PREPARATION & CLIENT OBLIGATIONS 6a. It is the client's responsibility to provide clear information so that Kirsty can find your preparation location.
6b. Kirsty will always leave with contingency time in her journey schedule but she cannot be held responsible for any delays beyond her control, including weather conditions, acts of God, road traffic accidents etc. If you have noticed any recent issues or possible delays with travelling to your preparation location (road works, flood, accident, adverse weather conditions, misleading sat-nav, diversion, etc) please message Kirsty immediately.
6c. Kirsty will need a work area with natural light, a chair and a large surface or table.A plug point will need to be accessible from the work area. Kirsty will also need access to hand washing facilities and a WC.
6d. All of Kirsty’s focus will be on the bride, she will not be able to assist in any other hair or make up needed by the bridal party members.Kirsty is very happy to assist the bride with her dress, veil etc as long as this is within a reasonable time frame from when hair and make up has been completed.
6e. The bride is expected to be ready to start hair and make up at the mutually agreed time set out in the invoice.If the bride is running late for any reason please message Kirsty immediately.
6f. Kirsty reserves the right to refuse service to any client for, but not limited to, any behaviour deemed rude, offensive threatening, or abusive.
ALLERGIES & CONTRAINDICATIONS 7a. It is the client's responsibility to inform the Kirsty of any allergies, or past reactions before makeup application & hair styling.
7b. Kirsty reserves the right to refuse an application if the client or anyone in the preparation has a contagious condition, flu-like symptoms or a temperature.
7c. In the interest of your personal health, safety, and well-being, and that of Kirsty and other clients, the following contraindications will prevent or restrict any client's application/styling; Eye infections; Conjunctivitis, viral infections; cold sores/facial herpes, open/weeping wounds, or sores, fungal infections; ringworm, etc. warts, cystic acne, severe sunburn or first degree burns, burns from facial waxing, Eczema, Psoriasis, Nits/ Head-lice, Scabies, or Impetigo, prior reaction, bruising, open cuts and flu-like symptoms or a temperature.
7d. If you have suffered from any of the above skin conditions previously, please book a consultation with your GP to discuss prevention, medicines and care.
7e. All brushes, tools, and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitised between every makeup application. Please allow time for this.
7f. Any skin/hair condition should be reported by the client to the artist prior to application and, if need be, a sample test of the product may be performed on the skin to test the reaction. Client(s) agree to release the artist, from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions. It is the client's responsibility to inform Kirsty of any known allergies, and this is stated clearly in the T &C's. Kirsty cannot be held liable for any reactions, injuries, losses, damage, cost, claims, and actions that may occur to you or any member of your party.
7g. Each product is carefully selected for its quality and suitability to each individual client, Kirsty will advise the correct top-up products and plan to ensure that the hair and make up looks great all day. Kirsty is not able to provide a guarantee of longevity as weather, perspiration or not following Kirsty’s plan may affect the wear of the products.
7h. Every effort is made to avoid products and ingredients that cause common reactions. Prior to any application, we will consult with you regarding your skin type, skin/hair conditions, and any history of past allergic reactions. We will work with you and advise you on the suitability of products but no guarantees can be made regarding reactions.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND IMAGE COPYRIGHT 8a. At your trial, Kirsty will need to take photos and videos of you for the purpose of recording the trial look. This is to help Kirsty recreate the look accurately on the wedding day. Future clients love to see examples of real-life brides via Kirsty’s website & social media platforms.
8b. Please let us know in advance if you do not wish to be in photographs or if you are not happy to appear in images on our social media, promotional material, or website.
8c. Kirsty is happy to be photographed on the wedding day whilst in action, if these photos are shared on social media please credit Kirsty accordingly.
8d. Any extra suppliers you book who use an image featuring Kirsty’s work to promote their services must credit Kirsty and state her role.
8e. Any supplier who promotes their business that offers similar services (ie hair/makeup) without crediting Kirsty is in conflict with copyright law and will be asked to remove or credit the other supplier and potentially face legal action.
8f. Kirsty will not share any images of you until the day after your wedding at the earliest.
8g. Kirsty does not use stock photography to promote her business. All images shown on her website feature examples of her work.
DISCOUNTS 9a.Prices are non-negotiable. No discounts will be given.
ABROAD WEDDINGS 10a. International bookings require that return transfers, flights, insurance, parking, and accommodation costs are to be paid for, in full, by the client.
DATA PROTECTION 11a. The client's details will be kept on a private computer and phone for the purpose of your wedding booking. The personal data from you, in respect of your event only, and all the information collected on our website will remain strictly confidential and will not be sold, reused, rented, disclosed, or loaned. Any information you provide will be held with the utmost care and will not be used in ways that you have not consented to.This data will be deleted within 1 month after the wedding date.

12b. Kirsty reserves the right to terminate this contract for non-compliance with the terms. The contract will become void and all monies given are non-refundable.
12c. You are solely responsible for ensuring that we receive your written rescheduling/cancellation. This must be delivered to us via email/WhatsApp from the client, not a third party.All monies received by Kirsty up to that point are non-refundable.
12d. Kirsty will only ever cancel your booking if your date clashes with an unpredictable life event such as the hospital admission of Kirsty or her children, severe illness or if it clashes with a close friend or family member's wedding. In the case this happens, Kirsty will try to find you another artist but cannot guarantee this.In the event that another artist cannot be found by Kirsty a full refund will be given.
12e. If you need to postpone your wedding for any reason please contact Kirsty immediately.Please communicate with Kirsty to try to pick a new date when Kirsty is available.Every date postponement will require an additional payment of £150.If the client reschedules to a date that the client knows Kirsty cannot do then no refund will be given and no services will be provided. If the new postponement date is more than 12 months from the original wedding date a brand new booking will be required, including a new deposit and balance schedule.
INSURANCE 13a. Kirsty McCall is insured through Salon Gold and holds public liability insurance.
13b. PAT testing is not a legal requirement but we do regularly have our appliances PAT tested.
13c. Kirsty strongly advises that all clients obtain the relevant wedding insurance. It is your responsibility to protect yourself and purchase a wedding insurance policy prior to booking & securing deposits with your wedding venue and suppliers.
13d. If your wedding date is cancelled and you submit a claim to your insurance provider, it is fraud to then ask for financial compensation from your suppliers or to forgo your invoices. If Kirsty believes this to be the case, she will report this to the relevant authorities.
RECOMMENDED HAIR & MAKE UP ARTISTS 14a. All stylists recommended by Kirsty are freelance and are not directly employed by Kirsty. They act independently and are responsible for their own independent business, so considered a third party.
14b. Kirsty will not be held liable for any third-party supplier. The performance of these suppliers is beyond her control.
14c. Kirsty is not receiving any commission or payment from any recommended artists.It is your choice whether you employ one of the artists recommended by Kirsty or an artist found independently.
14d. Please tell Kirsty the names of any other hair and make up artists that will be booked on your wedding date.
These Terms & Conditions are subject to change and will be regularly updated. Please contact Kirsty if you wish to discuss any aspect of these terms and conditions, the trial process, or your booking.
Kirsty has the right to update these policies at any time.
Kirsty encourages clients to frequently check this page for any changes.
You the client acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review these policies periodically and become aware of modifications.
Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to these policies will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
